A Wedding Weekend

August 14, 2011

in Travel

I love weddings. I love seeing two people commit to each other FOREVER. It’s such a big deal, and it’s always so happy to see people in love and excited to start a life together. Plus, it’s nice to cry and not be sad. (I miss Oprah…)

I was planning on making it a lazy weekend with the prime minister, but when my mom decided to come for a visit, Rod and I thought it a great opportunity to leave his majesty at home with my mom and head to the OC for a cousin’s wedding. It’s a good 3+ hour drive each way (and we did it in the same day) but it was a lovely event, and we were glad we decided go.

Here are a few pics from the day a la iPhone:

Newport Beach LDS Temple. I love all the temples, but this one is particularly lovely–it’s pink. :)

Someone give Jay the memo that Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones want their outfit back.Meet Landon’s “stylist.” Lynn is the responsible for all the dapper looks my son sports.

Laura (the bride) was an art history major and so the reception was French themed. (For more things French go here).

Ah, the handsome couple :)

I loved the artichoke flair.

You can’t tell from the picture but the cake matched the Bride’s dress.

I love fruit and flowers.

The grilled veggies were OUTSTANDING. Worth the 6 hour drive. :)

Congrats Laura and Austin! Here’s to wishing you a long and happy life together.
